BJP on Thursday released the list of seven candidates for the UP by-elections. In this, BJP has given ticket to SP MP Dharmendra Yadav's brother-in-law Anujesh Yadav from Karhal seat of Mainpuri. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav himself was the MLA from this seat. But after he became MP (Kannauj), by-elections are being held on this seat.
In such a situation, BJP has played a big gamble by fielding Anujesh Yadav. Whereas, SP has made Tej Pratap Singh Yadav its candidate from this seat. In this way, the competition here will be between the Saifai family and their relatives. After the announcement of Anujesh Yadav's ticket, the stir in the political circles has intensified. Voting is to be held on 9 assembly seats of UP on 13 November.
Anujesh Yadav is the son-in-law of the Mulayam family. He is the husband of Sandhya Yadav, daughter of Mulayam Singh's brother Abhayram Yadav. Sandhya Yadav is the real sister of Azamgarh MP Dharmendra Yadav. Sandhya Yadav is the first daughter of the Mulayam family. She has also been the District Panchayat President of Mainpuri. Sandhya and Anujesh were expelled by SP. After this both of them joined BJP. Anujesh's family has also been in politics since the beginning. His mother Urmila Devi has been SP MLA from Ghiror seat of Mainpuri.
At the same time, BJP has not announced candidates for Sisamau seat of Kanpur and Meerapur seat of Muzaffarnagar. BJP has given the Meerapur seat to its ally RLD, while it has not fielded candidates on one seat of its quota.
