The first day of the Pune Test match between India and New Zealand proved to be quite interesting. The first day's play was such that everyone got a little cheated. Fans were deceived by how Washington Sundar was selected instead of Kuldeep Yadav. Sundar silenced them with his performance. The New Zealand team won the toss and chose to bat first and thought that they would make a big score but they too were deceived as the entire team got bundled out for only 259 runs. Amidst all this, Team India's star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also cheated a little as his trick failed against New Zealand player Ajaz Patel.

A lot of action was seen on the first day of the second match of the Test series which started on Thursday 24 October at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The New Zealand team batted first and despite a good start, the entire team collapsed for 259 runs. On behalf of Team India, Washington Sundar played an important role in making this situation of Kiwi team. He took the maximum of 7 wickets for 59 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin also took 3 wickets in his name, leaving behind the failure of the Bangalore Test.

Pant's cleverness did not work

Even before New Zealand was all out, something happened which surprised Rishabh Pant. When New Zealand had lost 8 wickets, Ajaz Patel came out to bat with Mitchell Santner at the crease. Ejaz was facing Sundar without any problem. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant gave an advice to Washington Sundar from behind the wicket. Pant asked Sundar to bowl a little longer and Sundar also accepted his advice. The result was completely opposite. Ajaz Patel sensed the intentions of Pant and Sundar and hit a brilliant shot on the long ball and hit a four. This is where Pant got cheated because Patel also understands Hindi. Pant himself admitted this and said- 'How do I know that he knows Hindi'.

Team India's bad start

This video of Pant is going viral and fans are also praising the funny style of the Indian wicketkeeper. As far as Ejaz is concerned, he did not last long and ultimately became Sundar's victim. India's first innings started after the Kiwis were out for 259 runs but Team India had a very poor start. Captain Rohit Sharma was clean bowled by an excellent ball from Tim Southee in the third over of the innings itself. Rohit could not even open an account. After this, Shubhman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not allow any further setback. Team India's score on the first day was 16/1.
