A snake was discovered beneath the lower bed’s window curtain by an elderly couple traveling by train to Goa. They were riding the second AC bus from Jasidih in Jharkhand.

Something slithered below the window curtain, as the old couple observed. They found the poisonous snake when they looked more closely. They alerted their kid right away and sought help from the IRCTC staff.

Along with the berth and train number, a young guy who had purchased tickets for his parents posted a video of the occurrence on “X.”

“Hello @RailMinIndia @IRCTCofficial On October 21, a snake was discovered on a berth in Train -17322 (Jasidih to Vasco De Gama). My parents, who are traveling in AC 2 Tier (A2 31, 33), are the ones who are complaining. Kindly act right away. For reference, I’ve included videos,” Ankit Kumar Sinha said on X.

“Considering the gravity of the situation, @AshwiniVaishnaw, your prompt attention is required,” Sinha said, tagging the Railway Minister.

Sinha’s tweet was promptly answered by the railway support staff, and the problem was fixed. When the railway workers came, they caught the poisonous snake and took it out of the train.

The event happened on the Vasco-Da Gama Weekly Express, which connects Goa and Jharkhand.

Note that this is not the first time snakes have been discovered aboard Indian Railway trains. Passengers were frightened when a five-foot snake was discovered aboard the Garib Rath Express (12187) earlier in September.
