Former English football star David Beckham and his wife Victoria have purchased a new nine-bedroom Miami mansion for US$72 million and paid it all in cash.

According to The Sunthe couple did not need a mortgage for the mansion when they signed the paperwork earlier this month.

The mansion, which has a view of Biscayne Bay, features a 37.7 m pool, a chef’s kitchen and a cinema room.

“They adore it and want to spend as much time there as possible,” an insider told The Sun.

The mega-mansion in Miami is just one of the couple’s million-dollar properties in the world. In 2020, they bought a $23.3 million flat in Miami’s One Thousand Museum building. They also own a $40.2 million townhouse in Holland Park, West London.

The couple also purchased a $15.5 million barn in the Cotswolds, where they spent a lot of time with their four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19 and Harper, 13.

The power couple’s net worth is said to be more than $584 million.

After retiring from professional football in 2013, David, 49, continued to earn money from brand partnerships and licensing deals.

He purchased football club Inter Miami in 2014, which saw global recognition in 2023 when it signed superstars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets. The club’s value is now reported to be over $1 billion.

Victoria, 50, a former member of Spice Girls, launched an eponymous fashion brand in 2008 and has seen growth in recent years.
