Pakistan: A suicide bombing in North Waziristan killed eight people, four of them police officers

October 27 in North Waziristan, Pakistan: Eight people were killed in a suicide bombing in North Waziristan, Pakistan, according to ARY News, which cited police. Four of them were police officers.

The police said the attack in the Eidak area of Mir Ali Tehsil was aimed directly at a police post.

After the accident, a relief operation was started, and the hurt people were taken to a nearby hospital to get medical care. Security guards quickly came at the scene and blocked off the area to look into what happened.

ARY News reports that since the Taliban took back power in Afghanistan in 2021, there has been a rise in terrorist activity in Pakistan.

In North Waziristan’s Spinwam area on October 5, six Pakistani troops, including a lieutenant colonel, were killed in a shootout with terrorists. This was reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR said that the fighting happened between the nights of October 4 and October 5, and that “six Khwarij” terrorists were killed.

According to ARY News, the ISPR said that five other troops and Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Shaukat, who was in charge of the operation, died in heavy shooting.

A different event killed three people, two of whom were Chinese engineers. The blast happened near the Karachi airport. Selfish bombers set off the explosion when they drove an explosives-packed car into a group of Chinese experts. 16 people were hurt, and one of them was a Chinese citizen.

The attack was called “a conspiracy to undermine Pakistan-China relations” by Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), according to Geo News.
