The film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' was released in the year 2007. Akshay Kumar was in the lead role in that film. But when the makers decided to make a sequel of this film i.e. Part 2, Akshay Kumar was replaced with Kartik Aryan. The first part was directed by Priyadarshan, but Anees Bazmee had entered the second part. There was a lot of uproar on social media at that time. People wanted Akshay Kumar to be kept in the second part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa also. But the makers replaced him.
Now Karthik has become an integral part of this franchise. He will also be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. But do you know that Karthik Aryan was not the makers' first choice for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The makers had earlier offered the role of Karthik in the film to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

According to IMDB, when the makers offered Sushant the lead role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he refused to do that role. Although why he did this is not known. 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' hit the big screens on 20 May 2022, but long before the release of this film, Sushant Singh Rajput had said goodbye to this world. Sushant died on 14 June 2020.
Producer Bhushan Kumar had planned to make Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 long before the start of Corona virus and lockdown. But as soon as the shooting started, Corona virus entered and lockdown also started. In such a situation, the film had to be stopped several times. The makers had initially planned to release this film in July 2020, but due to Corona, the film was released quite late.
