Jawans At LoC Celebrate Diwali With Full Enthusiasm Away From Home: Watch

The entire country is celebrating the festival of Diwali and the festivities reached the borders too where soldiers lit candles and diyas to celebrate the festival of light. 

The festival of Diwali, being celebrated across the country and all over the world on October 31 this year, signifies the victory of lightness over darkness, truth over lies, and right over wrong. 

Locals in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri in the Baramulla sector of the Line of Control shared the joy with soldiers of the Indian Army lighting lamps and fireworks together. 

Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force also came together in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur to celebrate the festival. 

In Poonch, the jawans of Romeo Force of the Indian Army sang devotional songs as they celebrated Diwali away from their homes in hilly areas of Pir Panjal Range at an altitude of 8000 feet.

They distributed sweets and lighted sparklers to feel the festivity. 

Earlier in the day. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the occasion of Diwali. 

"Many happy wishes to the countrymen on Deepawali. On this divine festival of lights, I wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous life. May everyone prosper with the blessings of Maa Lakshmi and Lord Shri Ganesha," said PM Modi in a post on X.
