Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are part of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe. This universe started in the year 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger. However, at that time Yash Raj would not have thought that this film would later become a part of a universe. But this happened with the film 'Pathan' released in the year 2023. Along with the announcement of this film, YRF also announced its spy universe.

The latest film of Salman Khan's Tiger franchise is Tiger 3. It came in 2023. According to the report, the makers paid around Rs 100 crore as fees to Salman Khan for this film. The film was directed by Manish Sharma. However, it could not do business as per expectations.

Shahrukh Khan

In the year 2018, Shahrukh Khan was seen in the film 'Zero'. This film was flopped. After this, he took a long gap and directly appeared in front of the fans in 2023 as a spy in Spy Universe's Pathan. The film made bumper earnings. According to the report, Shahrukh did not charge even a single rupee for this film. This is because he had adopted the profit sharing formula. He had made a deal for 60 percent profit.

Pathan's budget was Rs 270 crore. The makers earned Rs 333 crore and Shahrukh was given around Rs 200 crore. The film did a business of Rs 545 crore at the domestic box office and more than Rs 396 crore overseas. Out of this, Rs 245 crore was given to Indian distributors and Rs 178 crore was given to overseas distributors. Apart from this, Pathan had earned around Rs 180 crore by selling non-theatrical rights.
