The cases of atrocities on women in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh are not showing any signs of stopping. Now a new case has come here. In this, a woman was burnt alive by her in-laws for not having a child even after nine years of marriage. After the incident, the accused himself took the woman to the hospital and left her there and ran away. On receiving the information, the police arrived and after informing the woman's family, sent the body for post-mortem. In this case, the police have registered a case against the woman's husband and other in-laws.
According to the police, the woman's father Subhash Singh, resident of Majhila in Hardoi district, has filed a case. He told in his complaint that in the year 2015, he had got his daughter Ruby married to Ritesh alias Madhav, resident of Benipur Sadat, Bareilly. He told that Ruby and Madhav were not having any child after marriage. Holding Ruby responsible for this, her in-laws including Madhav used to beat her every day. According to the victim's father, his daughter called him several times and complained.
He himself came here and tried to convince his son-in-law and his family, but it had no effect on them. In fact, as time passed, the accused started harassing her daughter more. In this sequence, the accused burnt him alive. Police said that when Ruby died after the incident, the accused themselves picked her up and brought her to the hospital to make ends meet and left her there and ran away. After this, after receiving information from the hospital, the police arrived and informed the woman's family.
According to the police, post-mortem of the woman's body was conducted on Wednesday. After post-mortem, his family took the body for cremation. In this case, the police have registered a case against other accused including the woman's husband and have started searching for them. According to the police, the accused is still absconding, but he will be arrested soon.
