Meet Jalaj Saxena, Indian cricketer who created HISTORY by taking 400 wickets and scoring 6000 runs in Ranji Trophy

New Delhi: Ranji Trophy 2024 is currently being played between Uttar Pradesh and Kerala. In this match Jalaj Saxena bowled brilliantly for the Kerala team and played an important role in restricting Uttar Pradesh to 162 runs by taking five wickets. The Uttar Pradesh batsmen could not stand in front of his strong bowling and were seen struggling to score runs. Right now the Kerala team has scored 71 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

By taking 5 wickets in the first innings Jalaj Saxena has created history and he has completed his 400 wickets in the Ranji Trophy. He has already scored 6000 runs in the Ranji Trophy. Jalaj Saxena has become the first player who has taken 400 wickets and scored 6000 runs in the Ranji Trophy. No player before him was able to do such a feat in the Ranji Trophy.
Debuted in the Ranji Trophy in the year 2005:
Jalaj Saxena made his debut in the Ranji Trophy in the year 2005. Then he played for Madhya Pradesh. He could not take a single wicket in his debut match. So far he has scored 6795 runs in 143 first-class matches which includes 14 centuries and 194 runs has been his best score. Talking about bowling he has scored 452 runs in 143 first-class matches. He is known for his excellent bowling and batting.
Has not yet made his debut for Team India:
After 2016 Jalaj Saxena started playing for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy. After this he performed brilliantly and never looked back on his career. The special thing is that even after playing domestic cricket for two decades he has not got a chance to debut with Team India. He has become the 13th player to complete 400 wickets in the Ranji Trophy.
