Real-Life Weight Loss Story: Weight loss is a journeys subjective. It requires an emotional, mental and physical investment of different levels. The route, time and destination can be different for different people. Everyone has their own story to glory. Everyone comes with their own sets of reasons for how, when and why they embarked on this mission. For Ankur Chhabra it was all about spending healthy and happy quality time with his family.
“My main motivation was to get fit and enjoy time with my kids and family. I was overweight, easily fatigued, and couldn’t climb stairs. A health check revealed a fatty liver, and I often had leg cramps. My shirt size had grown to XXL. After some introspection, I decided to transform my health completely and opted for a healthy lifestyle,” says Ankur Chhabra speaking exclusively with India.com.
Ankur Chhabra lost 32 kgs in nearly 90 days by adhering to a very simple dedicated diet and exercise routine. Here is his inspiring journey of embarking on a happier and healthier life and how!
Ankur incorporated fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. Only proteinaceous diet and he started workout at least 3-4 hours a day which included rigorous exercise, running, skipping etc. Here is Ankur Chhabra’s detailed diet plan:
Yes, initially 100% cut down on sugar in all ways .In all honesty, I believe that the key is to know how much and what you consume at different times of the day, rather than trying to cut back on your sugar intake after all our body also need little bit sugar intake in a week.
Indeed, I used to have cheat meals every 15 days. Typically, I enjoyed eating dal makhani, tandoori wheat roti, and any paneer curry in limited portion.
No sugar, no maida, no fried and no packet snacks, no carbonated drink and workout at least 1 hour in a day.
The first thing you should do is schedule your entire day’s activities. This should include getting up early, exercising, or going for a walk. It should also include a diet that specifies what should be consumed in what amounts and that everyone can access online to check on their required intake. Finally, the most crucial thing is to get seven to eight hours of sleep every night in order to achieve the best results. Along with, I completed my dinner around between 5:00 PM to 06:00 PM which was the key driver in weight loss journey.
I was great lover of soft drinks and daal makhani. But now I am totally out of it. That was major challenge for me to get rid out of it. And, I would say large portion of the population in the modern world is affected by this problem, which is brought on by the improper lifestyle we lead.
In contrast to those in the past who began their days with physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, we are today lazy. The main difficulty I encountered was getting into the habit and finding self-motivation. I realized that this was crucial, and that the only way to succeed was to focus on the daily schedule and have a burning desire to achieve the desired outcome.
The most widespread misconception in today’s world is that in order to get back in shape, we have to stick to a rigorous, expensive diet and put in long, expensive gym sessions. However, this is just not true. Your aim can be attained with a straightforward diet, careful eating, at-home exercise, and consistent daily walking or jogging. There is no other path to success than leading a healthy lifestyle.
According to Ankur, losing weight also helps in balancing cholesterol levels and controlling blood sugar, thereby lowering the risk of diabetes. Meeting weight loss targets can foster a sense of achievement, enhancing self-esteem.
“Everyone ought to adhere to it in order to live a robust and healthy life and experience complete enjoyment. According to my experience 50% role of diet and 25% role of workout and 25% sleep part,” says 38-year-old Chhabra.
