Tulsi Vivah Vidhi: Tulsi Vivah is the biggest wedding ceremony of the year organized after Diwali. In this, the marriage of Lord Vishnu and Mother Tulsi is solemnized. Tulsi marriage has special significance in Hindu religion. It is believed that in Hindu religion, auspicious programs start after Tulsi Vivah. According to the Hindu calendar, Tulsi Vivah is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. On the day of Tulsi Vivah, Lord Vishnu is married in the form of Shaligram and the Tulsi plant is married. This festival is celebrated with great pomp all over India. This year Tulsi Vivah is on 13th November. By performing Tulsi marriage at home on this day, all the troubles can be resolved. But it is necessary to perform Tulsi marriage with complete rituals and rules.
Tulsi Vivah is also called Devuthani Ekadashi. This marriage is the formal marriage of Lord Shaligram, who is an incarnation of Lord Krishna, and the Tulsi plant. On this day Lord Vishnu wakes up from 4 months of sleep. According to belief, auspicious works in Hindu religion begin only after this marriage. According to the scriptures, the Tulsi plant is considered a symbol of religion and faith. Negative energy does not reside in the house where the Tulsi plant grows. Happiness and prosperity come to home and family. By marrying Tulsi one attains virtue. It is believed that a person who is not able to perform Kanyadaan in his lifetime can earn the virtue of Kanyadaan by marrying Tulsi. Tulsi Vivah can be performed both in the temple and at home. It is performed with full devotion and rituals. It is necessary to follow some rules during Tulsi Vivah.
– Tulsi marriage is done in the evening as per the Muhurta.
– The person who performs Kanyadaan during Tulsi Vivah has to fast for the whole day.
– The house is decorated with flowers and rangoli.
– On this day the Tulsi plant is decorated like a bride. The plant is dressed in a new red chunri, bangle, bindi and jewellery.
– Lord Shaligram is bathed and dressed in new clothes.

– In Tulsi marriage, Lord Shaligram and Tulsi plant are tied with Kalave or Mauli.
During this, a pavilion is set up by tying five sugarcanes, under which Shaligram and Tulsi plants are placed.
– Women and men take rounds around this pavilion and flowers and Akshat are showered.
– After the marriage is over, Bhog is distributed.
– During this time, sattvik food is prepared without garlic and onion.
– During marriage, unmarried people should also be made to sit in the pavilion and worship so that their marriage can take place soon.
