Utility News Desk !!! Crores of people work in India. Some are in government jobs and some are in private jobs. There are many people who have PF accounts. That is, every month some part of their salary is deposited in their PF account. If you also have a PF account then there is a big news for you. The Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has recently issued a notification. In which they have said that now Aadhaar card will not be valid for date of birth certificate.
This will affect crores of PF account holders of India through EPFO. That is, now they will not be able to use Aadhaar card as proof of date of birth. Actually, the reason behind this decision has been given. Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI is used as a birth certificate in many places. Whereas under the Aadhaar Act 2016, Aadhaar card is not recognized to be used as a birth certificate.
Aadhaar card only confirms the identity of the person. It does not confirm anyone's birth certificate. Therefore, as per the instructions received from UIDAI, EPFO has now removed Aadhaar card from the list of authorized documents for date of birth. That is, now you will have to use any other valid document other than Aadhaar card in EPFO. This includes birth certificate, school mark sheet and other valid documents.
