LPG Cylinder Subsidy Scheme: Efforts are being made by the government to provide relief from inflation to the common man as well as the farmers of the country. In this episode, the state government has now decided to provide LPG cylinders to all ration card holders for Rs 450. Till now, the state government provides the benefit of this scheme to the beneficiaries associated with Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and BPL families, but now expanding the scope of the National Food Security Scheme, every ration card holder will be given an LPG cylinder for Rs 450. This decision of the state government will provide relief to the common man.
According to the state government, the process of providing LPG cylinders for Rs 450 has been started from November 5. To avail the benefits of this scheme, you will have to feed your LPG ID with ration card or Aadhaar card. This work has to be done before November 30, only then you will be able to get the benefit of LPG gas cylinder for Rs 450.
According to the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Department, people who do not get ration will also be able to avail the benefit of cheap LPG cylinder. For this, families whose Aadhaar card has not been fed in the National Food Security will have to complete this work soon, only then they will be able to get LPG cylinder for Rs 450.
To avail the benefit of LPG gas cylinder for Rs. 450, the beneficiaries of National Food Security Scheme will have to get the seeding of Aadhaar number, e-KYC, names of family members and LPG ID of all the members of their family done through POS machine at the fair price shop (government ration shop). In the absence of this, you will not be able to get the benefit of cheap cylinder. In such a situation, if you want a cylinder for Rs. 450, then Aadhaar seeding is necessary.
To avail the benefit of LPG cylinder for Rs. 450, the beneficiaries of National Food Security Scheme will have to do Aadhaar seeding by 30th November, the documents required for this are as follows-
As per the guidelines of the Government of India and the Supreme Court's decision, the e-KYC of the beneficiaries left out will also be done by the shopkeeper at the fair price shop through POS machine. After ensuring the security of Aadhar card, LPG ID and e-KYC of all the members of the eligible families of the National Food Security Scheme, the shopkeepers at all fair price shops will give wheat to the beneficiaries. The families associated with the National Food Security Scheme will get the benefit of cheap cylinders along with free wheat, i.e. they will get the full benefit of the scheme.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, while expanding the LPG Cylinder Subsidy Scheme in the Budget 2024-25 , had announced to provide LPG cylinders to the beneficiaries of the National Food Security Scheme for Rs 450, which is now being implemented. Let us tell you that a total of more than 1 crore 7 lakh 35 thousand families are included in the National Food Security (NFSA) list in Rajasthan. Out of these, 37 lakh families are already beneficiaries of BPL or Ujjwala Yojana, who are already getting the benefit of LPG cylinder for Rs 450. Now with the introduction of the new system, 68 lakh families of the state will be able to get the benefit of LPG Cylinder Subsidy Scheme. The state government will have to spend an additional Rs 200 crore on this new system, that is, an additional burden of Rs 200 crore will come on the state government.
According to the District Logistics Officer, Sawai Madhopur, wheat will be distributed to the beneficiaries only after the ration dealer has seeded the families linked to the National Food Security. For LPG cylinders at Rs 450, mapping of LPG ID is mandatory at the ration shop from November 5 to November 30.
Gas cylinders are distributed by three public sector oil companies in India which are Indane Gas, Bharat Gas and HP Gas. Each connection of these three companies has a 17 digit ID. This is called LPG ID. The consumer has to tell the 17 digit LPG ID to the ration dealer for seeding.

The price of domestic LPG (14.2 Kg) cylinder in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan , is Rs 806.50. There has been no change in the price of LPG as compared to last month. Earlier in March 2024, the price of LPG was reduced by Rs 100, since then the price of LPG has remained the same i.e. from December 2023 to November 2024, the price of LPG was reduced by only Rs 100.
According to the information, consumers of Rajasthan will have to pay the full price of the cylinder while refilling it from the gas agency, that is, Rs 806.50. After this, the subsidy money will be transferred to your account by the government.
Let us tell you that the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are given a subsidy of Rs 300 by the government and whatever is more than Rs 450 will be borne by the state government. In this way, LPG cylinder is being made available to these consumers for Rs 450. Similarly, other beneficiaries will also be given subsidy on LPG cylinder by the government. The subsidy money will be transferred directly to the consumers' account.
