UP: Truck strikes car in Hardoi, killing 10

A truck struck an autorickshaw in the Bilgram neighborhood here on Wednesday, killing ten people, including three children and six women, and injuring four more, according to police.

According to a senior police officer, the truck struck the car in an attempt to avoid colliding with a motorcycle, causing the collision.

Around 12.30 p.m., the accident on the Bilgram-Madhavganj route close to Roshanpur hamlet was reported to the local police. Ten people—three children, a male, and six women—were killed in the accident, while four more were wounded. I’ve spoken to the physicians. According to authorities, the car, which had 15 people, suffered significant damage in the collision. According to authorities, the names of the dead are Madhuri (25), Sunita (28), Satyam Kushwaha (12), Aashi (16), Radha (21), Gaukaran (11), Neelam (30), and Vimlesh (20). Two more people have not yet been recognized.

They stated that Ramesh, Sanjay, Vimlesh Anand, and Kishore are among the wounded. “We have gotten in touch with the relatives of the deceased. The DCM (truck) involved in the collision has been seized by the police, Jadaun said.

“Locals told me that the DCM crashed into the auto in an attempt to avoid collision with a motorcycle,” the SP said, but the precise reason of the tragedy has not yet been determined. We are looking into the situation.

According to the officer, the police are searching for the driver of the automobile that was transporting a lot of people since they have been evading them since the collision.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, meantime, has conveyed his sorrow over the deadly collision and instructed district authorities to make sure the wounded get the best care possible. Brajesh Pathak, the deputy chief minister, expressed his condolences for the deaths and called the tragedy “extremely sad and painful.”

According to Pathak, who is also in charge of the health portfolio, the government has instructed the relevant agencies to make sure the wounded get the right care.

In a post on X, the Congress’ Uttar Pradesh branch expressed sympathy to the relatives of the dead, writing, “The government is requested to arrange for immediate free treatment for the injured and adequate compensation for the deceased.”
