The most recent statement from the 8th Salary Commission shows that central government workers and pensioners, who have long called for a salary increase, may finally anticipate a favorable outcome. The 8th Pay Commission will soon be established.

It is now time for the establishment of the eighth pay commission, which the government creates every ten years. It is quite likely that the government would announce the establishment of the 8th Pay Commission in the budget for 2025.

The minimum and maximum pay of government workers are anticipated to rise significantly with the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. The minimum wage can increase by 52%, from₹18,000 to₹34,560.00.

The 8th Pay Commission’s implementation will also help pensioners. Under the new compensation structure, the present minimum pension of₹9,000 may increase to₹17,280.

Under the Eighth Pay Commission, the fitment factor would also rise. All workers’ compensation, including benefits, might climb by 15% to 20% if the fitment factor rises by 3.

Recent information indicates that the Joint Advisory Body is scheduled to convene in November to debate the 8th Pay Commission. Employee service conditions will be discussed during the meeting, and trade unions will make their demands about the pay commission known.
