Mumbai Crime Branch seizes drugs worth approx. Rs 2.37 crore; 4 arrested

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 9 (ANI): The Kandivali unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch arrested four drug suppliers and seized 594 grams of heroin, valued at approximately Rs 2.37 crore in the international market, the police said on Friday.
The arrests were made in the Malad and Malvani areas of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The accused individuals, two of them identified as residents of Uttar Pradesh and the other two of Uttarakhand, were taken into custody for their involvement in the drug supply network. The police are investigating the intended recipients of the drugs in Mumbai and are working to trace the next links in the supply chain.
In the past 10 months, the Anti-Narcotics Cell has seized 3,010 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 55 crore in the international market. During this period, the ANC has registered 68 cases and arrested 146 individuals involved in drug trafficking. (ANI)
