According to Tien Phong NewspaperThae confirmed her continued dedication to beauty pageants in an interview on Nov. 5, where she shared her future aspirations.

“I have a plan B, I will participate in Miss Cosmo,” she said. “I won’t stop, I will never give up on what I love. I will never quit.”

Thae’s statement has sparked discussion across beauty forums. While many believe that at 17, she has numerous opportunities ahead in future pageants, others think the controversies surrounding her following MGI 2024 may impact her future chances of success.

“With that attitude, she’ll just keep failing,” commented one netizen.

Thae announced via an Instagram live stream on Oct. 27 that she would return her crown, expressing feeling cheated out of winning two special awards—Best in National Costume and Country’s Power of the Year, reported ABS-CBN News.

The Best National Costume awards went to contestants from Brazil, Ecuador, and Honduras, while Thailand won the Country’s Power of the Year title.

At the coronation event the day before, Thae was named second runner-up, with representatives from the Philippines and India declared first runner-up and winner, respectively. However, Thae left the event visibly upset with her team shortly after the announcement, opting out of the activities planned for the top five finalists.

On Oct. 28, the MGI organization announced on its Facebook page that it had revoked Thae’s title, citing “inappropriate behavior” as the reason for its decision.

Established in 2013 by Thai television host and producer Nawat Itsaragrisil, MGI emphasizes humanitarian efforts, with winners advocating for charitable causes throughout their reign.

Contestants are selected through national competitions, internal casting, or direct selection by franchise holders in their respective countries or territories.
