A surprising fraud has come to light in the Chief Minister's very ambitious scheme 'Mukhyamantri Mass Marriage Scheme' in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Here the scam was done in the donations given in the marriage ceremony held in the presence of ministers and senior officials. In fact, the saree given to the brides at the wedding ceremony turned out to be one meter short. At the same time, the weight of the dinner set also turned out to be less by three and a half kilos. After the embarrassment, DM Mangala Prasad Singh has ordered registration of FIR against the supplier firm and investigation.
A grand wedding ceremony was organized by the district administration under the 'Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme' in Hardoi. A total of 656 couples were to get married in this, out of which only 615 couples attended the programme. The marriage ceremony of 24 Muslim couples was performed. Minister Rajni Tiwari had added to the grandeur and divinity of the program by arriving. A case of scam has come to light in this program held in the presence of officials and public representatives.
In the wedding ceremony, clothes and accessories were supplied by the firm Gayatri Foods Pvt. Ltd., in which a dinner set of nine kilos was to be given, which turned out to be three and a half kilos less in weight. On the other hand, the saree given to brides also turned out to be one meter smaller. The fraud was exposed after the irregularities in the gift came to light. The firm has also been accused of supplying low quality gifts at the function, which is now bringing disrepute to the district administration.
Hardoi District Magistrate Mangala Prasad Singh said that the goods have been supplied other than the samples shown by the firm, in which the terms and conditions have not been followed. Therefore, FIR orders have been issued blacklisting the goods supplying firm Gayatri Foods Private Limited. The case is being investigated. In the next few days, the gifts will reach the homes of the married couples after checking their quality. DM said that action is being taken against the firm's proprietor Pradeep Goyal in this entire matter. Action will also be taken against all the employees involved in the case.
Hardoi Congress District President Ashish Singh has taken a dig at the government and the district administration on this entire matter. He said that this is a very ambitious plan of the Chief Minister, but action is being taken only against the firms in Hardoi. This happened due to collusion under the supervision of Bandar Banat officials, because its tender was floated 20 days ago by the Social Welfare Department.
The standard also included the supervision of the city magistrate. Despite this, cutting one meter of cloth in a woman's saree and reducing its weight by three and a half kilos in donation clearly shows the corrupt strategy of the government and its employees. We demand an investigation by the Economic Offenses Wing into this entire matter.
