November 16, Johannesburg, South Africa: The Indian team was given “all the luck” by Suryakumar Yadav for the difficult Border Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.

One of the contemporary giants’ greatest advantages has been India’s depth of players. In the absence of stalwarts, skipper Suryakumar Yadav guided the Men in Blue to a 3-1 victory in the T20I series, demonstrating the depth of the layers in the Indian system.

The five-match Test series against Australia, which starts in Perth next week, prevented Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill from participating in the trip.

The outcome of the World Test Championship final in London the following year may be determined by the five Test matches in Australia.

India would need to win four of the five games to guarantee a place to London given their recent record against them after a historic series thrashing at home against New Zealand.

“I wish the team in Australia the best of luck. During the post-match news conference, Suryakumar said, “I wish them luck, but I know they’re well prepared going into the series, and I know it’ll be a challenging one.”

India has intensified its preparations for the demanding Test series that is ahead of them during the last two days. In order to strengthen their preparations for the Perth Test, where bounce is a recurring theme for the pacers, India hosted an intra-squad match simulation.

Even with the available potential, India managed to win the series by bringing a few inexperienced players to the trip because of the short time between the two series. After the series is over, the players will head back to India to compete for their states in the current Ranji Trophy.

Suryakumar is impressed by the children’s desire and passion to play domestic cricket, which he says demonstrates the solid foundation of Indian cricket.

“I believe it speaks volumes about the strength of Indian cricket’s foundation. Men returning home while playing a lot of domestic cricket. I knew these players were talking about returning to play a lot of domestic cricket for their respective states even before this match,” Suryakumar said.

“So that speaks a lot about their urge to go back play for the street and do well deliver there as well and keep that run so,” he said.
