New Delhi: Mohammed Shami is one of the greatest bowlers of Indian cricket. He has taken more than 400 wickets in international cricket and has been in the headlines due to his recent comeback from injury. Now he has become the center of discussion due to rumors of age fraud. Shami was also the highest wicket-taker in the 2023 ODI World Cup but the news of age fraud has become the reason for his defamation. Because of this Shami is also being trolled.
Mohammed Shami has suffered a lot in the last few years. His wife Hasin Jahan also made serious allegations against him like domestic violence and match-fixing. The good thing is that BCCI gave a clean chit to Shami in the fixing case a long time ago. Now a picture of a drivers license is going viral in which Shamis age is stated to be 42 years.

The truth about driving license:
A person has shared Mohammad Shamis driving license on social media. Seeing this it is known that Shami is 42 years old while he claims himself to be 34 years old. After finding the difference of 8 years in age people are trolling Shami. Another thing to note is that the post from X which was violating the policy has been deleted. But other people took no time to take the picture and share it again on social media. So far nothing has been revealed whether this driving license picture is real or edited. This picture is raising questions not only on Shami but also on BCCI.
In India hiding ones age and committing fraud is considered a serious crime. If a cricketer hides his age he may have to face a fine and sometimes even jail. Talking about Indian cricket age fraud usually happens during the Under-19 days when players usually declare their age one or two years less to get selected in the team.
