But now the question is, how can you check whether your Aadhaar is being misused or not? You cannot check this directly, but you can see where your Aadhaar number has been used in the past such as for travel, accommodation, banking and other purposes. To help people keep their Aadhaar secure and monitor its usage, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced tools to help users monitor and protect their Aadhaar usage.
To know the history of Aadhaar usage, follow these steps:
First of all go to myAadhaar portal.
Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code and click on 'Login With OTP'.
After this an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it to access your account.
Next select the Authentication History option and select the date range for the period you want to review.
After checking the logs, if you find many unfamiliar or suspicious transactions, you can report it to UIDAI.
