JMM candidate is asking for votes by putting photo of BJP candidate, complaint filed in Election Commission

Generally in any election, any candidate distributes banners, posters or pamphlets showing his photograph and his election symbol asking for votes or appealing, but a strange case has come to light in Jharkhand, where Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Poster and pamphlet with the photo of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Lobin Hembrum, candidate Dhananjay Soren from Borio assembly seat. Bant is seeking votes in his support.

Regarding this, a BJP delegation reached the elections on Saturday under the leadership of Law Cell convenor Sudhir Srivastava and submitted a memorandum to Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar. He demanded from the Chief Electoral Officer that the Election Commission should take action against JMM candidate Dhananjay Soren from Borio Assembly constituency and the Election Commission should cancel his nomination.

Sudhir Srivastava said that Borio Assembly is also included in the 38 seats for which voting is to be held on November 20 in the second phase of Jharkhand. In such a situation, a poster and pamphlet is being distributed and pasted on the wall in Borio assembly constituency, in which the picture of BJP candidate Lobin Hembram is shown and his name is written, while Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's candidate is Dhananjay Soren and His election symbol is a bow and arrow.

BJP complained to the Election Commission

This means that with folded hands in the picture of BJP candidate Lobin Hembram, he is demanding from the public to vote for Dhananjay Soren. The party strongly opposes this. This is a very serious topic. Asking for votes by putting someone else's picture is a serious crime.

He said that this is also a crime under the Indian Justice Code and is banned in the RP Act. A memorandum with proof was submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer on behalf of the delegation. BJP candidate Lobin Hembram has also lodged a complaint in Borio. Pushkar Tiwari was included in the delegation. The election officer has ordered to register a FIR against the culprits.

Clashes before voting on 38 seats

Let us tell you that Bharatiya Janata Party's Borio candidate Lobin Hembram had left Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and joined BJP a few months before the assembly elections, BJP has made him its candidate from Borio. Dhananjay Soren has been made the candidate against him by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

In Jharkhand, voting on 43 seats in the first phase ended on November 13, while voting on 38 seats in the second phase is to be held on November 20. In such a situation, a controversy has erupted over the poster of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Dhananjay Soren seeking votes by putting the picture of the BJP candidate. Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded cancellation of his nomination.
