Renault has unveiled the right-hand-drive version of the new Duster in South Africa. The left-hand-drive version of the mid-size SUV for the European markets debuted earlier this year. The RHD Duster is expected to launch in India next year. It will feature small exterior changes compared to the South African version. A test mule of the India-spec Duster was spotted testing recently. Renault has also shared a teaser about the India-bound duster. It showed the SUV featuring Renault's logo on the front grille instead of the brand name spelt out like the European and South African versions.Also Read:
The interior of the new Duster will look different from its previous-generation model, which was sold in India. It features a 7-inch digital driver's display and a 10.1-inch floating central touchscreen. The Duster, unveiled in South Africa, has steering-mounted audio controls and a two-tone dashboard. The images show that the South Africa-spec Duster has hard plastics, and its seats have fabric upholstery. Renault could add better materials in the India-spec Duster or keep the interior utilitarian (in the entry-level trims) for a more affordable price.Also Read: The new Renault Duster in India will be a petrol-only model. As well as its Nissan derivative. Both SUVs will likely get a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol, which produces 156 hp. Entry-level trims could feature the 88 hp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. The South Africa spec right-hand-drive Duster features 4WD. Renault will also offer it in the India-spec version with multiple terrain modes. Renault will also launch a seven-seater version of the Duster at a later date. The five-seater Duster will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, and Honda Elevate.
