The Weekend Ka Vaar episode saw business entrepreneur Ashneer Grover facing Salman Khan and being called out for his statements made previously on the Bollywood actor.

As Ashneer entered the stage, Salman asked him, ‘You are known for your dialogue dogalapan,’ to which Ashneer replied, “Reputation toh waisa bann gaya hai.”

Salman confronted Ashneer about a remark he had made during a podcast, where he discussed hiring Salman as a brand ambassador and the challenges involved. Salman said, “Mere baare me kehte huye suna hai and mere team ke baare me. Merit oh aapse kabhi mulaqat hui nahi.

Ashneer, maintaining his composure, responded, “There was an agency involved.” Salman stated, “There was no agency involved. Mere log involved the. They don’t talk like this. You spoke saying that you have signed me. Sab figures bhi aapne galat bataye. Toh phir yeh dogalapan kya hai?” (I heard you talked about signing me and mentioned all the wrong figures. I have never met you. So what is this double standard?) Ashneer replied, “Nahi sir, dogalapan nahi hai.” Salman retorts saying, “Dogalapan hi hua na…because this conversation…we didn’t even meet before.”

Ashneer then says, “No Sir, we had a meeting,” and Salman then adds, “No, not with you. There was a team. Aap bhi shayad honge wahan par. But aapke saath aisi koi baatein hui nahin meri.”

Aapko jo brand ambassador kia, I think that was one of the smartest moves.” Salman, however, pushed back, saying, “Yeh jo attitude ab hai, tab wahan nahi dikha tha.” (This attitude you are showing now wasn’t apparent back then.) Ashneer clarified that his words were misinterpreted in the podcast, to which Salman quipped that his current attitude seemed fine.

For context, Ashneer had previously shared that while building his business, he wanted Salman as a brand ambassador but lacked the funds to pay his fees. Despite limited resources, Salman agreed to a reduced fee of Rs. 4.5 crores, a gesture that Ashneer described as both surprising and generous.
