The Indian government runs many types of schemes to help the economically weaker people of its country, which aim to improve the lifestyle of these people, one such scheme is a Public Distribution System (PDS), which provides subsidized food grains to millions of people, especially the economically deprived. The National Food Security Act (NFSA) ensures that ration card holders across India get essential food items like rice, wheat, sugar, and kerosene at affordable prices. Many times people have trouble getting ration, if you are facing this problem, then complain like this-

1. Helpline number for complaints

Every state of India has a dedicated helpline number for ration card holders, where they can register complaints related to ration distribution or other problems at the ration depot.

If you are unable to receive your ration or have a problem with the quality or quantity of food being provided, you can call the specific helpline number for your state.

2. Online complaints through the NFSA website

Apart from the helpline numbers, you can also complain online through the official NFSA website. Here's how:

Visit the official website: https://nfsa.gov.in/

Visit the section for filing a complaint.

Give detailed information about the problem related to your ration or ration card.

After submitting your complaint online, it will be reviewed and if your complaint is valid, action will be taken against the concerned ration depot officials.

3. Complaints in small towns or remote areas

District-level complaints: Visit the ration depot in the nearest district or block office. The concerned officials can investigate the problem and take necessary action.

State-level complaints: If the problem is not resolved at the district level, you can contact the state food supply department.

4. Action against guilty officials

After the complaint is lodged, the Food Supply Department will investigate the matter. If the complaint is found to be true, corrective measures will be taken.
