The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for 33 months. Thousands of people have died so far in the conflict between the two countries. While lakhs of people have been injured. Local reports said at least seven people were killed and 19 injured in several regions of Ukraine overnight on 17 November following massive missile and drone attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attacks as a large-scale joint attack.

Ukraine claimed that at least 120 missiles and 90 drones were involved in the attack by Russia. The purpose of the attack was to target Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Storyful has not independently confirmed the number of drones and missiles fired by the Russian military. Footage published by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration showed several damaged buildings in the city. The military administration said that two people were killed and seven were injured in the city as a result of the attack.

The US had earlier refused to allow such attacks. He feared that this would lead to a bigger Russia-Ukraine war. US President Joe Biden has made these major policy changes two months before handing over power to Donald Trump. Ukraine has been using Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) against Russian-held targets inside Ukraine for more than a year.

America has taken a big decision amid the Russia Ukraine war. According to reports, US President Joe Biden has given Ukraine permission to use missiles to attack Russia even before his term ends on January 19, 2025. The Biden administration has told Ukraine that it can use US Army tactical missile systems for limited attacks inside Russia. Army Tactical System (ATACMS) is a supersonic ballistic missile system and is manufactured by an American defense company.
