Australian batter Travis Head believes that Virat Kohli will be having his special moments in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to being November 22 in Perth. As Travis labelled Kohli as a “world-class” operator, he stated that his team needs to respect Kohli’s caliber and understand that there will be moments in this series.

Virat Kohli has been in Australia since last week and is on the receiving side of the heat, as he has scored only two Test centuries in last five years. His form became a huge point between head coach Gautam Gambhir and former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, since both of them have been having some exchange between each other.

Australian ground have always brought out the best of Virat, as he has scored more than 1,300 runs in 13 Tests. Travis shared praises to Kohli as he stated how everyone talks about the 36-year-old wherever he goes. He also added about how India would not stop talking about Kohli when there would be a series.

He’s pretty big. Everyone talks about Virat, wherever he goes. Maybe the closed sessions give him a bit of freedom, bit of space. There won’t be a series where you would play India and you wouldn’t talk about Kohli,” Travis Head told reporters in Perth.

No doubt, we will go through all their players, cannot wait to start well against them. Virat’s going to have his moments in this series, hopefully not too many of them. He’s a world-class player. Over the course of five Tests, he is going to play well at some stage. We have to understand and respect that. Hopefully the players on our side also have their moments in the series,” he added.
