Just before the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party has suffered a big setback. Kailash Gehlot reached BJP office on Monday morning and took membership of BJP under the chairmanship of former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state president Virendra Sachdeva. Kailash Gehlot left the party on Sunday. He alleged that the party's commitment to the people has taken a back seat to its political ambitions. In his resignation letter sent to Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, Gehlot had said that instead of fighting for the rights of the people, we are only fighting for our political agenda.

It is noteworthy that a day earlier Kailash Gehlot had resigned from the post of minister in the Atishi government. After joining BJP, Kailash Gehlot completely rejected such debate and said that he never worked under anyone's pressure and this was not a decision taken in a day.
