A newly-wed bride in Sikar disappeared just days after her wedding, taking along with her jewellery and cash worth lakhs. Police are investigating the case and the family is in shock.
Sikar. The news is from Sikar district of Rajasthan. The district police and many family members are searching for the daughter-in-law who came to Sikar as a bride 3 days ago. The Sadar police station of Sikar district has registered a case against her. She is originally from Moga city of Punjab. A team has been sent to Punjab.
Sadar police station said that the 35-year-old man was married to Sarabjit on November 12. Two days later on November 15, Sarabjit was not at home. When they called her, her number was switched off. When the husband investigated in the house, he found out that Sarabjit was missing with jewellery worth about 5 lakh rupees and a few thousand rupees in cash. He informed his father and other family members about this. After two days of investigation, a case has now been filed in the police station.
Police said that the family had arranged the marriage through someone known to them. Sarabjit's family had said about their daughter that she is calm and cultured. But no one knew what was going on in Bahurani's mind. The family first filed a missing complaint and then now they have filed a report. At present, she is being searched.
It is noteworthy that after Devuthani Ekadashi, weddings and marriage ceremonies have started taking place on a large scale once again in Rajasthan and all over India. In such a situation, fraudsters have also become alert and they are targeting those grooms who get married at an older age.
