Jaipur. Today on 18th November, the capital city of Jaipur has turned 297 years old. It was established on this day in 1727. Whenever we talk about Jaipur, we definitely talk about the Amer Fort situated on Delhi Road. Every year lakhs of tourists come here to visit. This fort is about 11 km away from the capital city of Jaipur. The Sheesh Mahal and architecture situated in this fort captivates anyone.

The Sheesh Mahal built here is made of 2.5 crore colourful glass pieces. Even the floor is made of glass. This palace has been designed in such a way that if a lamp is lit here at night or in the dark, the light of that lamp will appear on the glass as if thousands of fireflies have gathered together in the entire palace.

It is believed that during that time, the queen wished to see the stars from inside the palace while sleeping at night. That is why this Sheesh Mahal was built. If you light even two candles here, it seems as if thousands of stars are visible. This fort was built by Maharaja Mansingh. Presently, this fort is maintained by the government. A board has also been made for this.

If anyone goes to Jaipur, then apart from Sheeshmahal, he must also visit Jaipur City Palace, which was built in 1729 by Sawai Jaisingh II. In which Rajput, Mughal and European architecture was included. Now most of the palace has been made into a museum, which charges a fee to visit. Currently, Diya Kumari, a descendant of the royal family, lives here with her family. She is the Finance Minister in the Rajasthan government.
