The atmosphere of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram is very poisonous. Even on Tuesday morning, most of the AQI touched the 500 mark (more than severe), while the National Capital Region (NCR) remained under a dense layer of smog for the seventh consecutive day. Due to pollution, Delhi has become a chamber of poisonous gas. The thing to think about is that pollution is being controlled in the country's neighboring country Pakistan. Pollution in Lahore has reduced due to a special technology.
Senior provincial minister Maryam Aurangzeb says that after the successful use of artificial rainfall, the air quality in Lahore and surrounding areas has improved. The Punjab government recently tested a locally developed technology to create artificial rain using “cloud seeding” technology in areas including Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang and Gujar Khan. According to the Meteorological Department, it rained in Jhelum and Gujar Khan during the test.
Aurangzeb stressed that the effort is part of the broader “Detox Punjab” campaign aimed at reducing hazardous smog levels, especially in Rawalpindi. In Lahore, a major campaign is underway, which includes banning vehicles emitting smoke to improve air quality. The minister appealed to the common people to support the initiative to reduce smog. He said that citizen cooperation is necessary in the fight against air pollution.
Here, Grape-4 has been implemented to reduce pollution in Delhi. Despite this, pollution is not showing any signs of reducing. Schools and colleges have been closed due to pollution in Delhi and NCR. JNU and DU have also been asked to run online classes till 23rd November. Delhi government and Center are accusing each other, but at present no solution is visible.
Delhi government minister Gopal Rai says that experts have said that there is no solution to pollution, you are asking questions. We have to do it and give permission to the central government, but the decision will be taken when the meeting is held. Scientists of IIT Kanpur will tell how it will be done, we will tell about the expenses but we are not telling for last two and a half months. Smog can be cleared only by artificial rain or wind. The Center has not yet taken action on the request of the Delhi government.
For artificial rain, it is necessary to have clouds which have moisture. For this a little more pressure is used. Seeding material is released into the clouds through aircraft or generators. This increases the size of water drops. As the size increases, the drops become heavy and then it starts raining. Till now, countries like America, China, Russia and Australia have been using this technology.
