If you are asked who a woman trusts the most after marriage, you will say her husband, but a case has come to light from the UK where after the murder of the wife, the police are searching for her Indian-origin husband.
Last week, British police found the body of 24-year-old Harshita Brela in the trunk of a car in Ilford, West London. After the body of Harshita Brela was found, the police started looking for her husband Pankaj Lamba. Pankaj Lamba, a man of Indian origin, is accused of murdering his wife.
Officials believe that husband Lamba has murdered his wife. Due to this, the police have asked the people living around the couple to share any kind of information. According to the police, Pankaj Lamba, the main accused in the Harshita Brela murder case, is a resident of Corby. According to officials, the husband first brought Harshita's body from Northamptonshire to Ilford and then fled the country. Chief Inspector Paul Cash revealed that a team of 60 detectives is working on this case.
The police is busy investigating the case. House-to-house searches, property inspection, CCTV footage and data extraction from number plate systems are being carried out. The police said, "Of course, we are appealing to the public for any information that can help us get justice for Harshita and find out what actually happened to Harshita.
Northamptonshire Police first investigated Harshita's disappearance and started looking for her, after which her body was found in the car. A neighbor of Harshita Brela gave very important information in this case. The neighbor told that he had heard a very loud argument between the two a day before Harshita's body was found. Neighbor Kelly Philp said, she could not understand the language in which the husband and wife were arguing, but they were arguing in a very loud voice. Also, he said, the wife's voice sounded scared.
The neighbour said, I heard a ruckus between the husband and wife and heard sounds of fighting. I did not call the police, I thought it was a simple argument. Also, a police spokesperson also confirmed that Harshita Brela was also a victim of domestic violence. Also, in September, she was placed under a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) at Northampton Magistrate Court. According to reports, a post-mortem of the woman was conducted at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Friday, in which the police are trying to find out the cause of her death.
