We often come across videos of the public having heated moments with police officials. Such a video has emerged from the state of Madhya Pradesh. The video was widely shared by netizens creating a buzz. According to reports, the incident we are talking about here took place in the Bargawan police station area. An officer named Anumeha Gupta went to the scene on Monday morning to clear a roadblock in Tikamgarh. During this, a major dispute erupted between the police officials and the locals. In the heat of the moment, the lady SHO slapped a youth who was arguing with her.

It was reported that an accident took place in the area, which sparked a huge protest from the villagers. The accident reportedly killed a 50-year-old named Ghurka Lodhi. The driver fled the spot which left the villagers furious. Following the incident, the family members and other villagers went to the police station to lodge an FIR. However, the police informed them that the area fell under the jurisdiction of the Budhera police station, which angered the villagers.

To protest against the incident, the locals blocked the Bargawan-Kharagpur highway, stopping traffic for more than an hour. SHO Gupta arrived at the scene to clear the congestion. During her interaction with the protestors, she slapped a young boy. This action provoked the crowd as one person slapped the SHO back in retaliation.

The incident led to strong reactions online. Several users condemned the action of the female official and asked for strict action against her. Many other people called the behaviour of the SHO inappropriate. It was reported that the authorities have started an investigation to hunt down the accused driver involved in the case. The higher officials have also started a probe to examine the behaviour of the police official. They are also making efforts to re-establish the relationship between the locals and the police.
