According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the nation’s first night safari would open in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, by December 2026.
The chief minister said the 900-acre safari will include a café, 7D theater, auditorium, and plenty of parking, among other amenities, while presiding over a high-level conference at his official house here.
According to Adityanath, “Lucknow’s night safari would become a new destination for nature lovers globally.” The Central Zoo Authority in New Delhi has given its clearance for the project’s development, which is a significant state government undertaking. According to an official statement, he ordered the completion of both projects by June 2026 after examining the presentation on the projected Kukrail Night Safari Park and Zoo.
He emphasized the need of creating a sustainable model for the zoo and night safari’s economics and gave the order to develop 72% of the space with vegetation and concentrate on solar energy projects.
By December 2026, Uttar Pradesh will host the nation’s first night safari. According to an official release, the CM said that the night and day safaris will be built in stages on 900 acres in Lucknow. The statement claims that themed areas such as the Indian Walking Trail, Indian Foothill, Indian Wetland, Arid India, and African Wetland would be included into the night safari area. Visitors may use a 1.92-kilometer trail and a 5.5-kilometer tramway to explore the night safari park.
