Honda will launch the new generation Amaze compact sedan in India on the 4th of December. This is all new Amaze based on a different platform with a different design language plus an all new interior. The new Amaze follows it's design direction from the City which includes the new part digital instrument cluster and the new touchscreen plus the centre console.
However, the features list of the new Amaze will also see a big change with addition of equipment like ADAS. Yes, the new Amaze could be the first sub-compact sedan with this feature. The new City and the Elevate also have this feature and it will most likely trickle down to the Amaze.
Hence, expect equipment like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous braking plus more. While the manual variants of the City also get ADAS, the Amaze manual might not get it although all details would be revealed on the 4th of next month. The new Amaze would also be expected to get features like cruise control, 6 airbags, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus a rear camera and more.
Honda has shown the new Amaze via sketches including the exterior and the interior which shows a bigger touchscreen plus more features over the current Honda Amaze. The Amaze would lock horns with the new Maruti Dzire which has also been launched recently in a new avatar. The Amaze will continue with its gearbox options and would be powered by a 1.2l petrol as well. Stay tuned for more details soon.
