An actor made his Bollywood debut in 2002 with Shaheed-E-Azam. Though the movie did not become a hit the actor’s debut left a lasting impression on audiences’ hearts. Over the years this actor has garnered immense respect not just for his acting but also for his commendable efforts to help those in need. While many may mistake him for Shah Rukh Khan let us clarify that he is not SRK but Sonu Sood.
In an era when actors often made headlines for earning massive sums from their blockbuster films Sonu Sood stood out by gaining attention for the help he provided during the lockdown. Sonu has established himself as a humanitarian and philanthropist dedicating significant resources to support the underprivileged and even putting his career on hold to assist those in need. Once again the actor has stepped up in a remarkable way.
Meanwhile Sonu is currently making news for his upcoming film Fateh. Recently during a conversation with Mashable the actor opened up about his experience working with Aishwarya Rai. The two had worked together in Ashutosh Gowarikers film Jodha Akbar.
When Sonu Sood Reminded Aishwarya of...
Recalling the experience Sonu shared I remember at the beginning we were doing a scene and while she was talking she suddenly stopped and said ‘You remind me of Papa (Amitabh Bachchan).’ She is very sweet and a wonderful co-star. I have a good rapport with her entire family. Abhishek and I have worked together in Yuva and Happy New Year. I worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Budha Hoga Tera Baap where I played the role of his son. They are very nice people. It is always fun working with them.
Sonu Sood on Being Mistaken for Abhishek Bachchan
During an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati where Sonu appeared as a guest he shared an amusing incident. He revealed that people in Egypt mistook him for Abhishek Bachchan.
In the same episode Sonu also recalled an anecdote from the sets of Budha Hoga Tera Baap where he was hesitant to push Amitabh Bachchan in a scene.
He said In that scene Bachchan sir comes to the police station. I was playing the character of a police officer and I had to push him while saying Nikal jao police station se. I told the director Puri Jagannadh that you’re asking me to push him instead of saluting him. Initially I pushed him very gently but Bachchan sir encouraged me saying Don’t worry push hard. Gathering my courage I pushed him harder and the scene turned out really well.
On the professional front Sonu Sood is stepping into the director’s chair for his upcoming film Fateh. Currently in post-production the movie has been filmed across various international locations and features Sonu alongside Jacqueline Fernandez.
