New Delhi: Indian cricket star KL Rahul is set to continue his outstanding run in the forthcoming fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground. With the series level both sides are preparing for the pivotal Boxing Day Test starting December 26 where the battle for a spot in the World Test Championship final will be decided. With the series level both sides are preparing for the pivotal Boxing Day Test starting December 26 where the battle for a spot in the World Test Championship final will be decided. KL Rahul is currently Indias top run-scorer and stands second overall in the series having accumulated 235 runs from six innings at an average of 47 which includes two fifties. After coming close to scoring a century in earlier matches Rahul is focused on hitting the three-figure mark at the MCG to enhance his remarkable performance in the series. A century at the MCG would make him the first Indian to achieve this feat in a Boxing Day Test placing him alongside cricketing icons like Sachin Tendulkar and Ajinkya Rahane. Rahuls past centuries in Boxing Day Tests against South Africa highlighted his ability to perform in various batting roles. His steady form and flexibility make him a crucial player to keep an eye on in the forthcoming Test match. The upcoming MCG Test will also mark the 10th anniversary of Rahuls debut in international cricket which occurred at this very venue against the same opponent in 2014. This remains his only Boxing Day Test appearance against Australia where he managed scores of 3 and 1. Rahuls only century in Australia came during the second Test of his career at Sydney in 2015.
