  • 500 grams potatoes (boiled and peeled)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2-3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • a pinch of asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • salt as per taste
  • oil for frying

method of making

  • To make Aloo Katli, first wash the potatoes and boil them in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles.
  • After this, when the potatoes boil, take them out of the water in a bowl.
  • Then peel its peels well and mash them.
  • After this, add onion, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves to the mashed potatoes.
  • Also mix cumin, asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala.
  • Now add mango powder and salt and mix everything well.
  • Then make small and thin katlis from this prepared mixture.
  • On the other hand, heat oil in a pan on gas. Put the prepared katlis in it and fry them until they turn golden.
  • Then take it out from the oil and keep it on a tissue paper.
  • Now your hot Aloo Katli is ready. Serve it with green chutney or sauce and enjoy with tea.

If you want, you can also fry the potato kalti by cutting it thinly without boiling it.
