Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep is all set for the release of his highly anticipated film ‘Max’, scheduled to hit the screens on December 25. At a recent press conference, the actor took offence at a question about the film’s English title despite it being a Kannada production. He responded with a savage yet thought-provoking reply to the reporter.

When asked by a reporter why he chose an English name for a Kannada film, Sudeep fired back with an insightful analogy. The actor questioned the logic behind criticising the English title by pointing out the widespread use of English in Karnataka, including the names of news channels, mediums of education, and even daily conversations among Kannadigas.

Pushing the conversation further, he posed a rhetorical question, “Do you have Apple? Why don’t you try saying Apple in Kannada? So what exactly is the problem?”

Directed by Vijay Karthikeya, ‘Max’ features Sudeep alongside Sunil and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles. The teaser hints at Sudeep’s portrayal of a vengeance-driven character adept at wielding machetes.

The film is set for a multilingual release, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Besides ‘Max’, Sudeep has several projects lined up, including two untitled films, ‘Billa Ranga Baasha’ and ‘Kabzaa 2’.

On a personal note, the actor recently experienced a significant loss with the passing of his mother, Saroja Sanjeev, in October due to age-related issues. Reflecting on the emotional turmoil, Sudeep wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “I have no words to express the pain I feel right now. I’m unable to accept the void or come to terms with what has happened. Everything changed in 24 hours.
