Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur starrer film 'Vanvas' has failed at the box office. 'Vanvas' was released at the box office on December 20 along with the Hollywood animated film 'Mufasa: The Lion King'. There was also a competition with Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa 2' which was released this month, but this film directed by Anil Sharma has failed miserably to impress people.
'Vanvas' has earned less than expected in the first three days. The surprising thing is that the film could not even touch the figure of Rs 4 crore in the first weekend. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Anil Sharma's film has done a business of Rs 3.28 crore at the domestic box office in the first three days.
You might remember that Anil Sharma's film 'Gadar 2', which released on August 11 last year, wreaked havoc at the box office. Apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur were also seen in important roles in Gadar 2. Gadar 2, which came almost 22 years after 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', took the theaters by storm. People were coming in tractorloads to watch the movie. At that time Anil Sharma had reached the throne. But only after about one and a half years, he is again seen on the floor.

The way Sunny Deol was presented in Gadar 2, the film benefited a lot. After years, people became desperate to see Tara Singh on the big screen. According to Sacknilk, the film had earned Rs 525.7 crore at the domestic box office. The film's earning in overseas was Rs 65.5 crore. In this way, Gadar 2 did a business of Rs 686 crore at the worldwide box office.
