After its blockbuster run at the box office earlier this year, it looks like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is making its OTT debut very soon. Star Kartik Aaryan, who plays Rooh Baba, teased the film's imminent release on OTT with a new video for Netflix that hinted that a Christmas surprise was on the way. Bhool Bhulaiya 3 is on the way!Netflix India's new Instagram post showed Kartik Aaryan running away from something, or someone, only to collide with the camera. Set to a spooky soundtrack and the Tudum audio, the post was captioned, "TUDUM: @kartikaaryan has an X-mas surprise for you! Coming soon." The video ends with the date December 27.

In the comments section, fans immediately stated, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on the way." Another fan wrote, "Wohooo! Now it's time for Rooh Baba to rule on Netflix." While another added, "Rooh Baba is coming for you Netflix." Anees Bazmee returned as director, as did Vidya Balan, star of the 2007 film. The 2024 film, which takes place in Kolkata, also stars Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, and Sanjay Mishra. The Hindi film featured Vidya and Madhuri sharing the screen for the song Ami Je Tomar 3.0.

Despite the success of the third film, Bazmee has revealed that he is taking his time for the next one, if it happens. He told Zoom, "Everyone wants me to move to Bhool Bhulaiyaa as soon as possible. But I am in no hurry to oblige. I am not that kind of a filmmaker. If I am going to move to the next Bhool Bhulaiyaa film, I need a good reason to do so. And that incentive would come only from a solid script."
