Exclusive- Durga's Indira Krishna: We always celebrated Christmas at home with Marzipan Sweets from an American bakery and the famous plum cake
Actress Indira Krishna talks about celebrating Christmas . The festival is celebrated on the birth of Jesus Christ on 25th December every year. The actress who is playing Paani Bai, an antagonist in the TV show 'Durga - Atoot Prem Kahani', feels Christmas is a time to celebrate love, happiness, and togetherness.
She said, "I'm already having a "merry" time since early December while preparing for the Christmas celebration. Since I'm convent educated as a kid from Bandra. We always celebrated Christmas at home with Marzipan Sweets from an American bakery and the famous plum cake . Every year without fail we decorate the tree. It's a custom for me and my family to go and enjoy the decor at Damian. I have never missed a single year of seeing that decor and visiting Mount St Mary Church ."
Indira feels this festive period encourages us to share warmth, cheer, and goodwill as we bid farewell to 2024.
She shared, "Christmas is all about expressing gratitude for what we have and how much of it. As the year draws to a close, it's about appreciating the little things that it has offered us and contributed to our growth. No matter how negative the year may have been, it's important to focus on the positives, thank you for all the experiences, and move on. I feel Christmas is called the festival of joy for a reason. It teaches us to enjoy all the gifting, treats, music, traditions, decorations, and togetherness that it brings."
She added, "However, beyond that, it teaches us to celebrate each moment, all through the year, with the same ecstasy and gratitude that we showcase during the holiday season. It urges us to spread the same joy to others."
Indira is known for featuring in shows like Krishnadasi, Krishnaben Khakhrawala, and Saavi Ki Savaari among others.
