  • Cauliflower: 400 grams (cut into small florets)
  • Green peas: 1 cup (fresh or frozen)
  • Onion: 1 large (finely chopped)
  • Tomato: 2 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger: 1 inch piece (grated)
  • Green chilli: 2 (finely chopped)
  • Garlic: 4-5 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Cumin: 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida: 1 pinch
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp (as per taste)
  • Garam Masala: 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves: 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Oil: 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt: as per taste

Learn how to make it

  • First of all, wash the cauliflower and cut it into small florets. Wash green peas. Finely chop onion, tomato, ginger, green chilli and garlic.
  • Now add chopped tomato, ginger, green chilli and garlic in a mixer and grind it. Make a smooth paste.
  • After this, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin and let it crackle. Then add asafoetida. Add chopped onion and fry until golden.
  • Then when the onion becomes golden, add the masala paste and fry well. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix.
  • Now add cauliflower and green peas and mix well. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then add 1 cup water and add salt as per taste. Cover the pan and cook on medium flame for 10-12 minutes or until the vegetables become soft.
  • Then just turn off the gas and add garam masala and coriander leaves and mix. Serve with hot roti, paratha or rice.
