Mumbai: Actor Sonu Sood, who emerged as the messiah of migrants and workers during the lockdown, won the hearts of the entire country with his generosity. To help the stranded people, he not only mortgaged his property but also provided every possible help to the needy. Meanwhile, there came a time when Sonu Sood got big offers like joining politics and becoming CM, but the actor rejected all those offers. Recently the actor has revealed this in an interview.
Sonu Sood told in the interview that he not only got the offer of Rajya Sabha membership, but was also offered to become the Chief Minister and Deputy CM. “I was offered to become the CM. When I refused, I was told to become the CM”. Along with this he said that these proposals had come to him from big people.
Sonu Sood told that he can take advantage of his popularity by joining politics. But Sonu Sood said on this, “It is good to reach heights, but it is difficult to stay there. Many actors dream of getting such offers, but I rejected them.”
Sonu Sood has also clearly explained the reason for not going into politics. He said, “People come into politics either to earn money or to get power. I have no interest in them. I am already helping people. If I go into politics, I will have to be accountable, and my freedom will be lost.” ” Apart from this, the actor said that in politics one has to work on the basis of caste, religion and language, whereas he helps everyone without any discrimination. “I am afraid of being answerable to anyone, so I refused to go into politics”.
Talking about the work front, Sonu Sood is busy these days in the promotion of his upcoming film “Fateh”, which will be released in theaters on January 19, 2025. This clearly shows that even though the actor is doing social service work, he has not gone away from the world of acting and he is ready to entertain the audience in the New Year.
