The Municipal Corporation had launched an anti-encroachment drive near Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Adhai Din Ke Jhopda and Delhi Gate. Encroachments on the roadside and drains were demolished. Due to this, tension arose there. Local people protested, during which they also clashed with the police.
