'Kind Who Was Chasing Excellence': Ravichandran Ashwin Makes BIG Reveal On Pakistan's Nemesis Corbin Bosch
Ace India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has revealed that Corbin Bosch, who took four wickets against Pakistan on his Test debut on Thursday, was part of the Rajasthan Royals a few years back. He got a wicket off his very first ball, removing Pakistan skipper Shan Masood and making an instant impact. He finished the day with brilliant figures of 15-4-63-4. Having hit the headlines for his brilliant debut at 30, Bosch was congratulated by Ashwin, who reminded netizens that he was part of Rajasthan three years ago. Bosch replaced injured Australia allrounder Nathan Coulter-Nile for a price of ₹20 Lakh during IPL 2022. He is also part of Rajasthan's sister franchises, Barbados and Paarl Royals. "Corbin Bosch was at RR 3 years ago and was the kind who was chasing excellence. Has started well with the ball but it’s worth remembering that he averages 40 plus with bat in FC 🏏," Ashwin tweeted on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, medium-pacer Dane Paterson bagged his second consecutive five-for and Bosch made a dream Test debut with a wicket off his first delivery as 13 batters fell to pacers on an eventful start to the Boxing Day Test between South Africa and Pakistan on Thursday.Paterson followed a 5/71 against Sri Lanka earlier this month with 5/61 and 30-year-old Bosch went on to claim 4/63 in his first Test as Pakistan were bowled out for 211.Paterson’s five-wicket haul came after Bosch had lured Pakistan skipper Masood (17) to play a loose drive and had him caught in the slips an hour after counterpart Temba Bavuma had won the toss and elected to field.Bosch joined four other countrymen, Bert Vogler, spinner Dane Piedt, Hardu Viljoen and Tshepo Moreki, to achieve the unique feat of getting a wicket with their first delivery in Tests.
