Did you miss out on Instagram Stories from your friends or favorite creators? No need to worry anymore. Instagram is rolling out a game-changing unseen story highlight feature that lets users view stories they missed—even beyond the usual 24-hour limit. Designed to strengthen connections and ensure you don’t miss important updates, this feature promises to make catching up easier than ever.
Instagram’s unseen story highlight feature allows users to revisit stories from their mutual connections for up to seven days. Unlike regular stories that vanish after 24 hours, these curated highlights will provide a second chance to catch up on missed updates.
According to TechCruncha Meta spokesperson confirmed that this feature is currently being tested with a small group of users. The unseen story highlights will appear at the end of the Stories tray and will include only stories users haven’t seen during the past week.
However, navigating to the unseen highlights might be challenging for those with a long list of connections, as they need to view all active stories first to access the feature.
“We’re always working on new ways to help people connect in Stories and are testing bringing recent Highlights to the end of the tray with a small group of people,” a Meta spokesperson told TechCrunch.
The spokesperson emphasized that the unseen story highlights are distinct from regular stories and are designed to help users stay updated on meaningful content they may have missed.
Currently in the testing phase, the unseen story highlight feature is expected to roll out globally once the testing period is successfully completed. While there’s no official release date yet, users can look forward to enhanced connectivity and engagement once it becomes widely available.
Stay tuned for more updates as Instagram continues refining this exciting feature.
