Hindu Religion: Worship has great importance in Hinduism, as it is a major means of connecting a person to God. It is considered essential to have peace of mind and concentration during puja, because only when the mind is stable, one can feel the presence of God within oneself. This mental state in worship helps a person connect with his soul and establish a deeper relationship with God. This divine experience brings peace and prosperity in life. However, falling asleep during puja is not considered a normal phenomenon, but according to the scriptures, there are deep meanings and reasons hidden behind it.

disorientation and sleep

When the mind gets distracted during puja, or sleepiness and yawning occur, this may seem ordinary, but in the scriptures it is considered a sign of mental disturbance and lack of sadhana. Wandering of the mind here and there shows that the person is not completely focused on worship. It inspires us to introspect, so that we can control our thoughts and present our devotion correctly at the time of worship.

sleep and mental fatigue

If one falls asleep repeatedly during puja, it may indicate that the mind is not completely dedicated and is affected by some anxiety or mental exhaustion. Physical or mental fatigue can cause sleep during puja, as the peaceful and serene puja environment brings the body and mind into a state of relaxation. In this situation a person needs to calm his mental state so that the puja can be performed with full devotion and concentration.

Energy Imbalance and Sleep

According to the scriptures, there are seven chakras in our body, which control the physical and mental state. When an imbalance occurs in these chakras, it can lead to lack of concentration and sleep during puja. This condition indicates that there is a blockage in the energy flow of the person, which can be corrected through sadhana and meditation.

Signs and remedies of falling asleep

Feeling sleepy during puja is not always a negative sign. Sometimes it can also be a sign of peace of soul and mental relaxation. When a person has completely calmed and centered his mind and spirit, the body naturally goes into a state of relaxation. This situation indicates that our devotion and meditation have become so effective that balance has been established between soul and body. However, if you feel sleepy during puja, it can be reduced by adopting some measures.

Ways to avoid falling asleep

Selection of time: Choose the time of worship in the morning or evening, when both body and mind are active.
Bath and meditation: Before the puja, take bath and meditate for some time, so that the mental state becomes calm and concentration remains in the puja.
Correct Posture: Sit in correct posture during puja. Keep your back straight and eyes open. It keeps the body active.
Mantras and Bhajans: Chant mantras or sing bhajans during the puja, so that the mind remains focused and sleep can be avoided.
