Akasa Air New Year Sale: Airline offers tickets from Rs 1,599

New Delhi: Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed Akasa Air announces the start of a New Year sale with ticket fares starting from Rs 1,599. The airline will commence the offer period on December 31, 2024. The airline is also offering up to 25 per cent off international flight tickets.  Akasa Air discount tickets can be booked on the company’s official website as well as mobile app, apart from third-party websites.

Non-stop as well as through flights are covered under this offer, according to the airline. The offer does not apply to special fares offered by the airline to the armed forces, medical professionals, students, and senior citizens.

Akasa Air New Year sale

Travellers can book discounted air tickets for international travel by using the promo code NEWYEAR. The offer is valid on the airline’s ‘saver’ and ‘flexi’ travel segments. The offer period ends on January 3, 2025, on January 7, 2025. The New Year fares offer applies to one-way trips as well a round-trip ticket prices.

Non-stop as well as through flights are covered under this offer, according to the airline. Meal, baggage, airport, and government taxes. Passengers may have to pay for the fare difference for any changes to the itinerary. Further, group bookings are also excluded from the offer.

Akasa Air Riyadh update

Akasa Air announced that the airline will operate flights to and from Riyadh from Terminal 3 of King Khalid Interational, Riyadh. The gates will close 60 minutes ahead of the flight, according to the airline.

DGCA fines Akasa Air

Aviation safety regulator DGCA directed Akasa Air to suspend of the directors of operations and training for six months citing alleged lapses in the training of pilots. The DGCA found the executives had “failed” to ensure “compliances” with the civil aviation rules.

“It has been found in regulatory audit conducted by DGCA on Oct 7, 2024, at M/s SNV Aviation Private Limited (Akasa Air), Mumbai, that RNP training (Approaches) is being conducted on simulators which have not been qualified for the same… which is in violation of Para 7 of CAR Section 7, Series D, Part VI,” said DGCA.
